We are exhausted. This whole simplifying your life thing can get really complicated ....... and need I say exhausting.
I did have the energy to change the "countdown" on the right.
Volcanos, customs, airlines, the gods, whimsical mishap and dogs permitting, we will be in Guayaquil in 24 hours and Cuenca mid afternoon Tuesday.
But you know what they say.....whenever god needs a good laugh, he looks at human's plans. I hope he has had enough laughs and won't need us to amuse him for a couple days.
Enough. Like I said. Exhausted. Really, really exhausted.
But still....even exhausted, Brennie is still cute.
Godspeed!
ReplyDeleteSee you in the (eternal) Spring!
Safe travels and stay cute. You're almost here, yay!

Brenda,
ReplyDeleteIt is Richard. I am glad for your return and have you running the household again. Details - About your return dinner, we have sent out a hunting party for pheasant and we have boar hanging. I've sent staff out for some glass for that new way of presenting pheasant in the French court. Don't get me started on the French! You know that blue coat you asked to be ready for his lordship? Well, even though the Church thinks the herb and dye ladies are witches, I have some of our locals working on some roots for blue. For now, only the French traders have the dye. Their noses are so high in the air you would think someone cooled a fireplace poker in their butts.
Staff will wax the great round table his loadship insisted on making. I share with only you that staff said it is too hard to properly serve on it and the lads say that by the time you ask for a meat to be passed, the others have eaten it.
Everything well be as you order (even though three of the downstairs staff and kitchen help are with child and had to go).
Safe travels and we will talk more on your return. Such stories to share! (you could write a book on Lady Summerfield's hair alone).
As always and forever at your service, Richard.
My dear friend Rich you are a great person. You should be writing books.

Brendie and Clark,
The parade is set and the people in Cuenca are already lining the streets. This will be the bigest parade in Ecuadors history!!! People dancing in the streets and for Brennie dancing nude males. It was difficult to get that OK'd by the pope but he agreed because of a the bull he is getting about the priest. Didn't want to disapoint you. He will try to be here also if he can get away. Otherwise he will send some belly dancing Nuns for Clark. I also think maybe some priest for Clark, he thought you might have been so busy that you might need a little help with the you know what. He "believes" you may be to busy with your new digs for anything else. God knows he's probably wright, he always is. He also said hands off the little ones the Church will take care .of that.
Anyway can't wait to see your skinny bodies. I think from your pictures on your blog we will still reconize you both.
Have a great and safe trip and your new Paridise awaits your most welcome return!
Love you both Charlie and Bruce
Anticipating the details of the trip to paradise.
ReplyDeleteHow long does it take to unpack 4 bags 2 dogs and a bike?
Blessings to you both as you begin this exciting new chapter of your lives. WRHS won't be the same without you, Clarke Greene!
